Adventure Playsets Recalled To Address Repair

Comments Off

Adventure Playsets Wooden Swing Sets have been voluntarily recalled, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), because the wood – located in the posts of the fort section on the playset – can weaken due to rotting, posing a fall hazard.

Several of these same playsets were recalled in The U.S. and Canada in November 2009.

More than 500 complaints have been reported about Adventure Playsets regarding weakened wood. One report involved a child suffering bruises and scratches when the ladder failed.

Several playset models are involved in this recall. To see the corresponding photo, model number and retailer to help you identify your playset, please refer to the CPSC news release.

The agency urges consumers to stop using the recalled swing sets and to contact Adventure Playsets for a free repair kit. For more information, contact the company at (877) 840-9068 or visit them online at www.recall.adventureplaysets.com.
