CPSC – Britax Strollers Recalled

Britax Child Safety Inc., in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, recently announced a recall of Britax Blink Umbrella Strollers.

The recall is in response to a potential risk of harm when a consumer opens or closes the stroller. To this date no injuries have been reported in conjunction with the recalled products.

Approximately 14,000 strollers are being recalled in the U.S. and 900 in Canada.

The recalled strollers have model numbers U261813, U261814, U261815, U261816, U261817, U271813, U271817 and U271815. They were sold at several juvenile product and mass merchandise retailers nationwide as well as online.

Consumers are advised to contact Britax for free stroller hinge covers to correct the hazard. In the meantime, to prevent injury, the strollers should not be used.
