Hunting Tree Stand Brackets Recalled Due To Fall Hazard

Summit Treestands announced a recall of Talon Hunting Hang-on Tree Stands and Brackets/Straps because they can unexpectedly detach from the tree, posing a fall hazard.

The company has received four reports of the brackets failing, which have resulted in falls and injuries including broken bones.

Talon Raptor brackets/straps and Cabelas Realtree series hang-on tree stands with the following model numbers are involved in the recall: rsEagle 82044, rsOsprey 82041, rsFalcon 82042, rsHawk 82043 and Cabelas Realtree Outfitters Series Hawk Deluxe 81509.

Consumers are advised to contact Summit Treestands for a free replacement bracket/strap. In the meantime, the recalled items should not be used to prevent injury.
