Students Not Injured In School Bus Crash In Indianapolis

Comments Off

Two people were injured when a school bus driver failed to stop for stopped traffic ahead, setting off a chain reaction crash.

The bus crash happened just after 7:00 a.m. on 161st Street, west of US 31. The bus, operated by Deborah A. Mogg, of Indianapolis, was heading eastbound when it struck a stopped Jeep Liberty, according to a statement by Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies.

In total, three other vehicles were affected by the chain reaction – a Jeep Liberty, a pickup truck and another vehicle.

The drivers of the Jeep and pickup truck were transported to the hospital for treatment of what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries such as abrasions, bruises and pain.

At the time of the crash there were 54 students on the bus, none of which were injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
