Truck Drivers Pull Accident Victim from Burning Truck

A serious truck accident on Monday night closed down Southbound I-69 for several hours.

According to investigators, a box truck rear ended a semi truck near the Lapel exit, which led to a grass fire. Two semi truck drivers pulled the box truck driver, 35, of Nashville, Indiana from the burning vehicle to safety.

He suffered second and third degree burns to his body in the accident. Paramedics transported him by helicopter to the hospital for treatment. At this time the investigation is on going and his current condition is unknown.
