Graco has initiated a massive recall of more than 1.5 strollers due to fingertip amputation.
Three Graco models are involved in the recall: the Spree Strollers and Travel Systems, the Alano and Graco’s Passage models, according to The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
To this date there have been seven reports of children placing their fingers in the stroller’s hinge mechanism that has resulted in two fingertip lacerations and five fingertip amputations.
For more information, consumers can contact Graco toll free at (800) 345-4109. The company will be providing a free repair kit.
In November last year Maclaren USA Inc recalled about one million strollers sold in the United States.
