A driver lost his life and his two passengers were injured in an early morning car accident, in Fishers, that is believed to have involved alcohol, according to police.
The driver, 25, was killed when he was ejected from the vehicle. The backseat passenger, 30, of Indianapolis, was also ejected and transported to the hospital for internal injuries sustained in the accident.
The front passenger remained in the vehicle during the accident and suffered only minor injuries.
The accident occurred when the 2002 Acura went off the north side of the street. Police believe the driver over-corrected the vehicle in an attempt to get back on the road, crossing both lanes of traffic. The vehicle flipped several times prior to the driver and passenger being ejected.
The accident is still under investigation. The Hamilton County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team was also on the scene to investigate.
